About Our Community

Our community was established by a group of refugees who settled in Australia between 1999 and 2001, originally from a small village in Khushi, Logar, Afghanistan (a village with approximately 100 houses). Our mission is to support new refugees and make our organisation a central hub for both religious services and humanitarian aid, addressing the ongoing challenges faced by Afghan people.

We focus on assisting vulnerable groups, especially newly arrived Afghan refugees, as well as other at-risk populations. Our team is committed to organising events that bring people together, foster connections, and create a sense of community. We also provide meals to families and individuals in need, with food being a key part of most of our events. Having experienced the struggles ourselves, we are dedicated to helping others facing similar hardships.

Support for immigrants:

Taha Humanity Association of Victoria has been a pillar of support for new immigrants, offering a range of services aimed at helping them integrate smoothly into Australian society. Our community understands that many of our members face unique challenges, especially as the number of individuals with low literacy skills continues to grow. These challenges often extend beyond language barriers, encompassing a wide range of issues, including family problems, work-related difficulties, and legal concerns. As a compassionate and supportive network, we strive to provide tailored assistance to those in need. Through our extensive network, we refer our members to trusted local professionals, including lawyers and legal experts, who offer invaluable advice and guidance. We also work closely with local trustee professionals to connect individuals with the right resources to address their specific needs. Whether it’s navigating complex legal matters, resolving family disputes, or tackling employment issues, Taha Humanity Association is dedicated to ensuring that our members have access to the help they need, when they need it. We are committed to empowering our community by connecting people to the right professionals, ensuring that no one faces these challenges alone.
